- A Medical Claims Officer is responsible for reviewing and processing medical insurance claims submitted by patients or healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy guidelines, by verifying medical records, coding procedures, and calculating appropriate reimbursements while maintaining patient confidentiality and timely claim adjudication; often involving communication with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or questions regarding claims.
- Requirements
- - Bachelors of Science.
- 2+ years Medical Practical Experience (reputable insurance provider, broker or a TPA experience a plus).
- Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills.
