- Conducting routine lab activities and participating in planning
Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
Performing all duties in accordance with regulations, EHSS procedures, PMI policies and procedures
Providing assistance to facility core users with analysis of samples using techniques in flow cytometry, cell sorting, confocal microscopy, digital imaging, immunohistochemistry, western blotting, and PCR
Senior lab technicians may also be involved in research and development efforts, such as developing new products or processes, testing prototypes, or conducting experiments to better understand how something works. Lab Technician responsibilities include receiving, labeling, and analyzing samples, designing and executing laboratory testing, and conducting experiments under defined conditions.
