Description: Test samples: Perform tests on blood, body fluids, tissue samples, and other specimens. This may include studying blood for transfusions, checking tissue compatibility for transplants, and looking for causes of transfusion reactions.
Analyze results: Interpret test results and advise clinicians on further investigation.
Write reports: Produce written pathology reports to inform treatment plans.
Manage lab: Organize work in laboratories, supervise staff, and maintain high standards of professional services.
Research: Research and develop new tests and treatments.
Collaborate: Discuss treatment plans with other health professionals and collaborate with other pathologists and doctors.
Clinical pathologists may also be in charge of a hospitals blood bank.

Requirements: Medical degree with specialization in pathology or clinical pathology.
Board certification in clinical pathology or equivalent credentials.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and diagnostic tools.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
