- A Laser Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining laser equipment in a medical or industrial setting, performing procedures like hair removal, skin resurfacing, or laser cutting, by setting up the laser system, adjusting parameters, ensuring patient safety, and providing post-treatment care while adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining accurate patient records; they often work under the supervision of a physician or engineer depending on the industry.
- Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Photonics, Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Previous experience working as a Photonics Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with cleanroom procedures and practices is a plus.
Proficiency in using CAD software for designing and modeling photonics systems is desirable.
Knowledge of programming languages, such as MATLAB or Python, is advantageous.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
