Description: Patient care: Preparing and positioning patients for imaging, providing radiation protection, and attending to their needs during procedures
Imaging: Performing or assisting with procedures like X-rays, MRIs, and mammograms, and capturing high-quality images
Equipment: Ensuring equipment is in good working order, sterilizing it, and maintaining supplies
Image evaluation: Assessing the quality and accuracy of images, and labeling them in the radiology information system
Communication: Communicating with patients before, during, and after procedures, and with other healthcare professionals
Documentation: Keeping clear records of patient information
Collaboration: Working with doctors to diagnose and treat patients
Compliance: Following physician orders and state and federal regulations

Requirements: An associates or bachelors degree in radiography or radiologic technology.
A state license and certification to practice.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment.
The physical stamina to stand for long periods and operate heavy machinery without assistance.
The flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
